STS Custom Builds – 12-Month Warranty Terms

At STS Custom Builds, we stand by the quality of every PC we build. All of our custom systems include a 12-month hardware warranty as standard, giving you confidence and peace of mind from day one.

What’s Covered

  • All internal hardware components supplied and installed by STS Custom Builds (e.g. CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD, PSU, motherboard, case fans, etc.)
  • Build workmanship – including cable management, thermal paste application, and component installation
  • Faults due to manufacturer defect or failure under normal usage

What’s Not Covered

  • Damage caused by misuse, physical impact, liquid spills, or improper handling
  • Software issues, including operating system corruption or malware
  • Problems caused by third-party repairs, upgrades, or modifications
  • Components not purchased or installed by STS Custom Builds
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. dust buildup, cosmetic marks)

Warranty Period

Coverage begins on the date of collection, delivery, or shipment. The warranty is valid for 12 months unless otherwise agreed in writing.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you experience a fault or suspect a hardware issue:

  • Contact us via email or phone with a description of the issue
  • Provide your order reference number and any helpful photos or videos
  • We’ll arrange diagnostic support, including remote troubleshooting or inspection
  • If a warranty fault is confirmed, we will repair or replace the affected component at no cost to you

Repair & Return Options

  • For local clients (Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire), drop-off and collection options are available.
  • For shipped orders, we will provide guidance on secure return packaging. Return shipping may be covered depending on the fault and location.

Additional Notes

  • If a component is no longer available, a comparable or upgraded replacement may be offered.
  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
